As a make up artist Kristina (Krassu) Valkeasuo is truly a ground breaker in the Finnish television and movie industry. She started her career as an assistant to legendary “Monsieur Mosse” already in 1962. Krassu has extensive international studies in the field. She has studied the art of make up with
- BBC
- Max Factor in London
- Spanish, Swedish, Danish and German national broadcasting companies
- Joe Blasco school in USA
- Chistopher Tucker

In her native country Finland Krassu has continuously updated her skills e.g. with Maurice Stein and John Woodbridge.
Krassu had a long and successful career as make up artist with YLE channel 2 (Finnish National Broadcasting Company) that ended as she retired in 2002. Her last work with YLE was to design make up art for historical show “Hovimäki” that followed Finnish history from early 1800’s.

Krassu has worked more than 20 movies. She has worked with such well known Finnish directors as:
- Rauni Mollberg in “Maa on syntinen laulu” (1974)
- Mika Kaurismäki in “Klaani” (1985)
- Jörn Donner in “Miestä ei voi raiskata” (1979)

She also worked with Warren Beatty in “The Reds” (1979). In addition Krassu has worked on several on stage-productions. These include:
- “Santiagon yö” and “Tosca” with director Lasse Lindeman 1980 and 1986
- “Oopperan kummitus” (“The Phantom of the Opera”) with director Ilkka Bäckman 1993
- “Cabaret” with director Jotaarkka Pennanen 1976

Besides a full fledged make up artist Krassu is also a competent teacher of the trade. As a teacher her training includes:
- The City & Guilds Vocational Assessor Award (D32/33 Competence in training and development) from North Lincolnshire College, England (1996)
- Cidesco Make-up examiner
